Our Team

At all times we have 5 staff members working and caring for the children in our preschool. We are proud to have a higher staff ratio than is required as we believe that every child must have more than optimal care to thrive.

At Birralee staff are trained in childcare and meet the criteria of the National Quality Standards. Each member of staff has genuine understanding, experience and interest in the development and education of children and their families.

Lorna

Lorna is the Director of Birralee extended Hours Preschool. She has a wealth of experience and expertise with more than 45 years in the Child Care Industry. Lorna started her child care career at Birralee when her parents were the owners.

Alison

Alison is Birralee’s ECT and Nominated Supervisor. She has been with us since 2018 and comes to us highly qualified both academically and practically. Alison has a Diploma of Community Services (Children’s Services) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching).

Karen

Karen started with us in early 2019 and came to us with a wealth of experience as an Educator with her Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care).

Sam

Sam joined Birralee in 2020 with vast child care experience as an Educator with her Diploma of Children’s Services (Centre Based Care).

Vanessa

Vanessa started with us in 2020 and brings with her various experience and has her Diploma of Children’s Services (Centre Based Care).

Hayley

Hayley commenced her Certificate III traineeship with Birralee in 2021. She is currently working towards completing her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Chloe

Chloe started at Birralee in 2023 and is currently undertaking her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
